I’m a longtime journalist writing about Apple, Microsoft, virtual reality, video games, internet culture and parenting.

I currently freelance for CBS News as a tech expert after wrapping up nine years with CNET News where I served as a reporter, then executive editor running the west coast news team, and finally editor-at-large. Before that, I wrote for The Wall Street Journal, Reuters and the Agence France-Presse, among others.

This site contains some of my best work covering companies such as Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Sony and Electronic Arts. I’ve also written some fun pieces along the way.

Below are a few of my favorites.

If you want to connect with me, I’m on almost any social network under the username iansherr.
